SWE Freshmen Scholarships Deadline May 1

Apply now for Society of Women Engineers’ scholarships for the 2017-2018 academic year. Collegiates who will be freshman can apply online through May 1, 2017.
The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to women studying baccalaureate or graduate programs in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science. In 2016, SWE disbursed 230 new and renewed scholarships valued at over $750,000.
Collegiates complete one application and are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible. The online application is entirely electronic — including submittal of reference recommendations and transcripts.

Michigan State University's certificate programs

Michigan State University's Institute of Agricultural Technology (IAT) offers certificate programs that students can complete in 2 to 4 semesters, including a required, industry-specific internship.

Offered on the MSU campus in East Lansing, the IAT certificate programs focus on a number of Michigan's agricultural, environmental and applied technology industries.

Programs include:  Landscape and Nursery Management, Fruit, Vegetable and Organic Horticulture Management, Electrical Technology, Dairy Management, Horse Management, Livestock Industries, Agricultural Industries, Sports and Commercial Turf Management, and Turfgrass Management-Golf.

#DUit Workshops- College Prep Event
Dear area high school administrators and teachers-
Do you have seniors interested in Davenport University who need extra help getting ready for college?
We invite all local seniors to attend the upcoming #DUit Workshops on Saturday, March 4th at the W.A. Lettinga campus (6191 Kraft Ave, Grand Rapids, MI 49512). These workshops offer high school seniors all the resources and help they need to be ready for college this fall. Students are welcome to come for all or part of the day between 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. (Parents welcome too!)
Here are the workshops we are offering to students throughout the event: (45 minutes each) 
  • Still working on acceptance? Apply (FREE) and get an admissions review on-site if they bring transcripts & SAT/ACT scores.
  • Test for credit? Accepted students can arrange English/math testing for early credit placement (Testing at 8am by appointment only)
  • Undecided on a career field? Take career assessments and get expert help in researching dream career fields.
  • Need more $$$ for college? Students will be entered in a drawing for a $2,000 DU Scholarship just for coming, plus can apply on-site for additional scholarships with help from our team.
  • Questions on overall college cost? They can work with our staff to build a personal cost estimate to see how affordable DU can be for their families..
  • Want to just hang out with the coolest college staff around? We're fun to hang out with, really. Plus, they can see the NEW Donald W. Maine College of Business building, enjoy a free lunch, tour campus and win some DU Swag!
